Moses Kawaaluuko Kizige, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uganda to the Russian Federation, visited the CHETRA production site being on an official visit to the Republic of Chuvashia.
The guest got acquainted to the assembly line of the plant "Promtractor", the main stages of the bulldozers production, samples of machines. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary did not dare to take part in a test drive of the powerful machine, but he did enter the cabine of the CHETRA T11 bulldozer. Moses Kawaaluuko Kizige noted the modern design and comfortable controls of the tractor.
The delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in the Russian Federation also visited the museum of tractor history. Guests learned about the key stages of the global and Russian tractor industry development and appreciated the rich collection of rare machines.
Uganda is an agrarian country where over 80 percent of the population are employed in agriculture. At the same time, this African state is rich in many kinds of minerals. Along with oil, there are deposits of copper, gold, tin, and other ores. Mining requires industrial machinery. CHETRA bulldozers are the best machines for working in the mountains and on the rocky ground.
In addition, Uganda together with Tanzania is planning to start the construction of the East African Pipeline EASOR. Its purpose is to transport crude oil from Uganda's oil fields to the port of Tanga (Tanzania) in the Indian Ocean. Once completed, the pipeline will be the longest heated crude oil pipeline in the world. CHETRA machinery has proven itself in the construction of such facilities. Bulldozers and pipelayers have been involved in the construction of major oil and gas pipelines both in Russia and around the world.
